I often feel happy when I find a new beach. I hear about it and then I prepare myself to go explore it, so as to feel this strong emotion.
I want to offer my guests these same massive emotions that only our beaches can provide.
From the most hidden to the most known, our beaches provide a unique and exciting experience. You will get to discover seaside places that will make your eyes shine.
The only things you will need to worry about are: bringing your swimsuit, wear your flipflops, having a beach towel and not forgetting your sunscreen.
Now try to immerse yourself in your dreams.
Imagine you are lying on a towel in the sun, resting on a gentle mantle of fine-grained sand. The crash of the crystal clear waves on the beach, moved by nature’s energy. And you are there, to experience it all. You want to play, or you feel like going for a for a swim, taking a walk or just sitting on the wet shore lapped by the waves as you sunbathe…
Then I have one name for you: Stintino La Pelosa.
But there so many beaches, some less known, and all framed in an amazing natural setting.
Have a game of volleyball or racquets on the shore, or even building sandcastles like when we were kids. It all boils down to one word: “play”.
Playing is the most powerful stress relief. Then everyone back in the water for a swim or just to wash off the sand.
Lunch can be a rich and varied tasting of typical Sardinian dishes accompanied by local red wines or, if you prefer, one can opt for a the table at one of the typical restaurants along the beach and enjoy a seafood barbeque or for a plate of pasta with clams or other kind of food.
In the evening, long beaches like Platamona (near our homestay) offer a dazzling views of sunset over the sea, with the sky a tapestry of red and orange brush strokes, ideal for a romantic promenade on the shore.
There are a lot and different beaches, offering a wide bouquet of possibilities.
So let us have a look together to see which ones would suit you best.
Here there is a realy nice nice video on YouTube about Sardinian holidays.
Snorkeling in Sardinia
Many beaches and a varied seabed. From the long stretches of white sand in Stintino, to the pink-hued coral dust of Rena Bianca beach in Santa Teresa, and the rocky shoals rich in fish and anemones like a coral reef. We can see the seabed in all of its splendor thanks to the crystalline transparency of the water in wonderful places like Balai, Tinnari, Platamona, Mugoni, Porto Conte and all the coasts of Gallura.
Always have our snorkeling gear handy because, trust me, every seaside spot has something special waiting to be admired and enjoyed, both along the beach and under the waves.
Sailing in Sardinia
With all this talk about the sea, one cannot forget about sailing whether its along the coast, visiting marine reserves and discovering hidden coves that are impossible to reach by land. With small boats we have the ability to enjoy a wonderful day in complete relax and away from the crowded tourist boats, between the light blue of the sea and the warm yellow glow of the sun. The boat allows us to go snorkeling, diving and swimming, all ingredients for a memorable day at sea.
Some places that deserve a visit are the island of Asinara, where it is possible to make pit stop, Porto Conte Marine Park with a tour to the various coves, the Red Island and Tinnari along the Paradise Coast, and the archipelago of La Maddalena with a visit to the protected islands. Lunch is usually served aboard, especially pasta with with clams and mussels, carasau bread and typical cheese accompanied with a local wine like part of our folklore.
